Small Groups at SOJO:

Where Faith and Friendship Meet
At SOJO Church, we believe that life isn’t meant to be lived alone. God designed us for community, and one of the most powerful ways to grow spiritually and build meaningful relationships is by joining a Small Group. These groups are where the church becomes personal—where you can connect with others, share life’s ups and downs, and dive deeper into your faith.

Why Small Groups?

We know that sitting in rows on Sunday mornings is important, but it’s in circles—like those in Small Groups—where true transformation happens.

Small Groups are a place to:

Build Lasting Friendships

Share your life with others and develop connections that go beyond the surface.

Grow Spiritually

Learn more about God’s Word and how to apply it to your everyday life.

Experience Support and Encouragement

Walk through life with people who care about you and are there to support you.

Small Groups are for everyone—whether you’re new to faith, have been walking with Jesus for years, or are just looking for community.

Three Types of Small Groups

We offer three different types of Small Groups to meet your needs, interests, and life stage:

connect

Connect Groups

These groups are all about building friendships around shared activities and interests. From golfing and cooking to business leadership or Bible journaling, Connect Groups bring people together through what they love. If you’re looking to meet people in a casual, fun environment, this is the group for you.

Community Groups

These groups are designed for deeper spiritual growth and relationship-building. They focus on studying books of the Bible, diving into sermon-based discussions, or exploring topics relevant to different life stages.

care

Care Groups

Care Groups focus on meeting practical and emotional needs, offering support and guidance in life’s challenges. Whether you’re navigating recovery, managing finances, or seeking prayer and care, these groups are here to help.

When and Where?

We offer Small Groups three times a year—Summer, Fall, and Winter—and most groups run for 12 to 16 weeks. Depending on the group, meetings may happen weekly, twice a month, or even just once a month.

Each group is clearly labeled by type, frequency, and meeting times, so you can easily find the group that fits your schedule and needs.

Take Your Next Step

Don’t let another season pass without experiencing the power of community in a Small Group. These groups are where faith comes alive, friendships flourish, and growth happens. Whatever your interests or life stage, there’s a group for you at SOJO Church.

Join a Small Group today, and discover what it means to do life together.
